How can I turn white polyester fabric to stark white?
I bought a white polyester satin so I could make a detachable train to a white wedding dress. I didn’t realize that it’s not as stark white as the dress until I finished the train and actually attached it to the dress. I know I can’t bleach polyester, so I was looking at the different whiteners and fabric treatment products of Rit Dye. There are 3 different products that I can use–The Rit Whitener and Brightener, Rit Color Remover, and Rit White Wash. I don’t know which one I could use that’s powerful enough to make a regular white to stark white. If there are any products that you can recommend, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
White is a “dye” too. It will be very difficult to match the whiteness of the different fabrics. Polyester will not really bleach or become “whiter” than it already is. If you want to try something, use the Whitener and brightener.
