Is there any other way to print a picture on a t-shirt without fabric transfer papper?
im trying to print a picture but i dont have fabric transfer papper , is there anyother way to print a picture on a t-shirt ?
You can get pretty cheap custom shirts at http://www.attitudereadjustment.com. They do take 3-4 weeks to deliver, but for their prices it’s well worth the wait. If you change your mind, and want it printed on something else [like a mousepad or a bag], they can do that too.
All You Need To Know About Heat Transfer Papers
Heat transfer papers are wonderful innovations that allow printing on various surfaces. Heat transfer papers can be used to print on a variety of surfaces and create wonderful designs on t-shirts, bags and other materials. They are very economical and make the entire printing process cost effective. There are different types of transfer papers that can be used on different surfaces.
The most common heat transfer papers are inkjet transfer papers. These come in two types – for dark colored fabric and for light colored fabric. Heat transfer papers for dark color fabric are white in color. Unlike normal heat transfer, where the transfer paper is put so as to horizontally mirror the image, here it is printed the way it is. The image is simply put on the white background and printed. All the colors will be printed as they should be. In heat transfer paper for light color fabric, where the paper is transparent, white cannot be printed. The color of the fabric will show where it should show white. A fabric that is printed with inkjet heat transfer paper is not as easily washable as other heat transfer papers. Washing instructions need to be carefully followed if you want the fabric to last longer.
The second type of heat transfer paper is dye sublimation heat transfer paper. A dye sublimation heat transfer is used to print on white or light colored fabric. For dye sublimation printing, the substrate must be polyester or a mix of cotton and polyester with the polyester percentage being at least 50%. Microfiber and nylon substrates can be used too. In this process, a dye sublimation printer is used with sublimation ink. The advantage in this form of printing is that the printer ink directly transforms into gas without going through the liquid stage. So, there is no time needed for drying the heat transfer paper. Any material with a polymer coating can be used for this type of printing.
There are various items that can be printed using dye sublimation heat transfer paper. When polymer coated items are sublimated, the finishing is so good that the print is not even felt when a hand is run over it. Sublimation printer ink cartridges is translucent. As a result, white substrates emit the right colors. Ash gray color also makes a good substrate for dye sublimation printing.
One of the latest technologies involves using a color laser printer heat transfer paper. This is a new technology and some success has been had in this form of printing.
Heat transfer papers give us a great opportunity to print on substrates that we cannot print on normally. These days, many manufacturers and printers are using heat transfer papers to create and design stuff that are being sold at huge profits. The cost involved in heat transfer printing is quite less than normal printing and that is why this form of printing has become so popular in recent years. More advanced technology will surely follow but till that time, heat transfer papers will rule.
