Personally, when it comes to fabric, I like having a clear view of what it is I am buying. I hope by giving you a bit of information here pertaining to fabrics, it will help you to decide what material will work the best for you in your unique situation. Speaking of Wool….If I were creating a little nook in a basement, I could use washable wool, as it would help to keep the seats warmer. Basements tend to be cooler than the rest of the house. By the same token, I could use washable wool in a sunny and warm area also, to help keep the temperature of the stool seats cooler! Now, in the kitchen where messy fingers abound (young and old), fabrics that are more stain resistant are unequaled! Like our stain-resistant cotton fabrics. There are also outdoor fabrics now available for use indoors.
